In this clip (3:02), meet unique Israeli artist Eran Zamir whose music embraces contradictions and builds bridges between east and west, old and new, Jewish and Arabic. Originally trained in western music, Zamir learned to play the oud and from there began to explore eastern musical influences, eventually earning a Masters degree in Arabic music and even creating his own instrument which blends electronics, guitar, and traditional Turkish and Arabic instruments.
