Israel: Start-Up Nation for All…Or Is It?

Produced by Appleseeds Academy, an Israeli nonprofit that aims to bridge the digital divide between the Start-Up Nation and Israel’s geographic and social periphery, this video (01:38) questions whether Israel is truly the “Start-Up Nation” if large portions of the population are excluded from the industry, including Arab-Israelis, Bedouin, Druze, ultra-Orthodox, new immigrants and women. The video highlights the organization’s youth movement, Net@, which develops technological excellence and leadership skills for underprivileged Jewish and Arab youth from across the country.
